I am a wedding and portrait photographer. Wedding photographers must be Jacks/Jills-of-all-trades. The skill I am working on right now is landscape. The sharpness, the f/stops are all different from what I normally use. if you’ll humor me I will share with you one of my first attempts.

I have applied for certification through Greener Photography and they encouraged be to put the contributions I am making to the community into a community action plan thingy. I have a good start. It will grow, I’m sure. In the meantime visit the community page on this here blog to check it out.
It also inspired me to put together a BRAND NEW PROGRAM! I announce today a program that is as of yet unnamed. I am offering no fee sessions to families who have a new member through the foster program or adoption. Each family will also receive an 11×14 wall print from their session. Foster children will receive a disk of images for their file, so they can grow up with a history.
If you know someone who can benefit from these programs, please share this with them.
So are you using a wedding planning site? If you are has it helped you? Which one is it? Post a link to you planning site (if you want to share). What is you favorite thing about it? What would make it better? Leave it on a comment and let’s help each other out. All of my 2010 brides (or grooms) who participate get a 5×5/5×8.5 softbound duplicate of their wedding album or a disk of their engagement images.

These photograph so well. I can’t get over how cute they are. Somebody get me a baby to put one on!
I believe that family portraits are very important. So many times as mothers we focus on our children, primp them, have them photographed and try to stay out of the shot. Family portraits are what your children will cherish when they are grown. I like photos of myself as a baby, but I LOVE photos of me with my mother. It is wonderful to see everyone together. The next time you want a session done take the time to figure out everyone’s schedules and do it as a family. You will never regret it.
This little guy was celebrating his first birthday with his mom and dad.

This is SO cool, if you are getting married in the rainy season this would be fantastic to have. I always carry umbrellas with me just in case. Even if it didn’t rain they would make cool pictures.

Here I am with my Valentine, cohort, and coworker Justin. He shoots every wedding with me, he’s my bag carrier and assistant at most sessions, he is my vegetation partner for prime time TV, the father of my children and my husband of 13 years. We got married when we were 12
. I don’t know what I would do without him and I hope I never find out. Marriage can be hard work, but I know for a fact that the hardest of times can be so worth it when you come out the other side.
Hope Ink offers custom art pieces featuring beautiful graphics and Biblical messages and verses. They are wonderful for wall art for a new baby, new couple, a friend and second only to photographs of the people you love (but of course I am biased). Emily, the artist is local and one of the nicest people you’d ever want to meet. Check out her Etsy Page.
