I have totally fallen off of the blog wagon. The crazy thing about the way I work is that LIFE and WORK are like these two forces in my life and sometimes the only way to balance them is for one to take over. Right now life is in the lead. There is a family funeral next week and all of the regular chaos that goes with parenting. Clients are still being seen, orders are still being filled, but everything else (like blogging) is back burner-ed. It will all settle out and the tide will shift, then I will ask for my families forgiveness instead of yours.
I hope you have a truly beautiful week.

As a photographer I occupy a weird place in the business community. I am technically a business, but truly I am an artist. I create images that didn’t exist. I do it because as an artist I have to. Somewhere deep in my brain is this need to create things. I am a commissioned artist, which means I create things that people have asked me to, in the best time that I can within the limits of my creativity and my family. I am not a corporation with officers, board members, a personnel department. I am just me.
Having a fictitious business name, or DBA, I was doing business as Silver Moon Photography. I recently realized that I don’t need a DBA. It doesn’t represent multitudes of people collaborating to create the Silver Moon product. It was just me, working with a few choice support people. It continues to be me.
The web addresses are all the same, the phone number is the same. I have just shed the unnecessary.
From now on I am just Carli Morgan, photographer.
These two people lead such busy lives, I almost wondered how they found a day of overlap to get married, but they did. It was a fun fantastic wedding in Laton, reception in Fresno, with a quick stop at the Smittcamp house for formals. Jessica & Tristan actually met while Smittcamp scholars at Fresno state. They seem made for each other.
